Kook Left
Out: BusHitler – In: PerryNazi
This didn’t take very long – from Hot Air:
…That link went to this piece by Texas liberal James “Bush’s Brain” Moore, who’s suddenly the hottest ticket in cable news for his willingness to tell panicky leftists that Perry will succeed in bringing about the wingnut apocalypse that Bush only dared dream of. Why is utterly predictable hackery running in a slot that’s normally reserved for hard news? You already know why.
“When Bush came to Austin, he held private meetings with each of the 181 state senators and representatives from both parties. He asked them what their legislative agenda included, shared what was on his radar and discussed how they might work together. An astonishing notion, cooperation, but in politics common sense often passes for genius.
Perry, though, was having none of that stinking compromise and kumbaya business. A coalition of hard-right conservatives had taken control of the Legislature, and they weren’t interested in a governor who cut deals. But they didn’t have to push Perry to the right-hand edge of their flat earth; he bravely led them…”
It was predicted when Perry announced on Saturday that the MSM/DNC would start generating stories about how nice and reasonable President Bush was…nothing like this insane, bitter-clinger Rick Perry. Only took four days for the prediction to come true. You just watch – even on little, old Blogs for Victory I bet our parrot-like liberals will start saying that they respected Bush, ’cause he wasn’t a complete fruitcake like Perry and the rest we’ve got in 2012. All that Chimpy McSmirk BusHitler from 2001-09 is down the Memory Hole.
It is a bit of a twist – usually, liberals only like dead conservatives. After Goldwater died, they suddenly loved him. After Reagan died, they suddenly loved him. I wasn’t figuring on seeing the “gee, Bush was a wise and reasonable conservative” for at least 30 or 40 years. Time compresses…we’re living very fast. By the time Bachmann is sworn in, I expect liberal puff pieces telling us how they wished we knuckle-dragging Bible-thumpers had elected someone reasonable, like Sarah Palin…
Liberal Proposes to Finish Off Los Angeles
Bankrupt? Municipal services decaying? Everyone who can leave moving out as fast as they can? Then here’s your liberal solution…raise taxes! From Bloomberg:
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the chief of California’s largest city, called for sweeping changes in Proposition 13, the nucleus of the nation’s anti-tax movement.
The state’s perennial budget crises could be eased by as much as $8 billion a year by removing Proposition 13’s limits on tax assessments for commercial property, Villaraigosa said in a speech to the Sacramento Press Club today. He also urged new taxes on services such as legal representation that he said might yield as much as $28 billion a year…
In the “give credit where it is due” spirit, I have to say I agree with the proposal to tax legal services. It would be the most effective means of killing of liberalism’s most effective means of gaining power. They use lawyers to subvert America day in and day out – lay a 90% tax on legal fees, and that will come to a screeching halt. Of course, given that trial lawyers are a mainstay of Democrat fund raising, you can expect such a proposal to go nowhere…but, it is still a good idea, and we should think about putting it in the GOP platform along with the “wealth tax”.
Aside from that, Villaraigosa’s proposals are just economic suicide. Los Angeles and California are suffering from the inability of Californian’s to create wealth. The block to such creation is California’s insanely burdensome tax and regulatory environment…Villaraigosa proposes to increase the burden. And he wants to do it in lieu of cutting back the worthless, wealth-destroying California bureaucracy.
I guess they just don’t learn – from Obama right on down to mayors like Villaraigosa: all liberals can ever think to do in a crisis is raise taxes and keep spending. We have the answer for that – and we’ll give it November next year.
Warren Buffett Wants His Taxes Raised
From the New York Times:
…Last year my federal tax bill — the income tax I paid, as well as payroll taxes paid by me and on my behalf — was $6,938,744. That sounds like a lot of money. But what I paid was only 17.4 percent of my taxable income — and that’s actually a lower percentage than was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office. Their tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and averaged 36 percent.
If you make money with money, as some of my super-rich friends do, your percentage may be a bit lower than mine. But if you earn money from a job, your percentage will surely exceed mine — most likely by a lot…
First off, Warren, if you really want to kick in a bit extra, then why did you have your team of lawyers and accountants (I’m sure you’ve got them) work the system so that you only paid an effective tax rate of 17.4%? It is no problem for you to pay more – just take fewer deductions. Or, if you want, just cut a billion dollar check to Uncle Sam.
Of course you won’t do that – not for you to just step up to the plate. That wouldn’t advance your true cause here…keeping Big Government going through a round of tax hikes which might, indeed, take a little more from your annual income, but which will mostly hit people of far less wealth than you. Because, dear Warren, you know better than most the truth…for all the billions you have, your wealth is chump change compared to the hundreds of billions held in smaller amounts by the people who make 200k or more per year.
Liberal financial sharks, like Buffett, thrive in a system of fiat money, government-subsidized debt and Big Government graft. If that system comes to an end – via bankruptcy – then the Buffett’s of the world might have to get a real job. You know, produce actual wealth in order to make money. The thought is too horrifying to contemplate. So, rather than see their milch cow go down, they write Op-Eds in the New York Times which will then be cited by liberals as justification for higher taxes: “see, even someone as rich as Warren Buffett wants a tax hike!”. Sorry, Warren – too bad, liberals: we’re on to the scam.
I propose a way to test this willingness of Buffett and other bazillionaire liberals to pay taxes. Rather than hiking income taxes, why don’t we tax wealth? I propose a 5% tax on all wealth in excess of $5 million. Total it up for us, Warren – how rich are you? Forbes says you’re worth $45 billion. This means we want $2.25 billion from you next year. And the year after. You’d better hope your investments hold up, huh? I know you were hoping for a “soak the middle class” tax hike which also might have cost you a measly million or two more per year (easily made up, of course, by some bit of sharp financial practice elsewhere), but I want to really tax the rich…I want a couple billion dollars from you. Every year. You do that, and I’ll agree to a general income tax hike.

Liberalism’s Pervasive Racism
They just can’t stop gnawing that bone – from the Washington Post:
With House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) announcement Thursday of her three appointees to the bipartisan debt “supercommittee,” the panel’s 12-member roster is complete. It represents a broad range of ideological views, from House Republican Conference Chairman Jeb Hensarling (Tex.) on the right to Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) on the left.
But the group’s membership is marked by a problem that has plagued Congress — a lack of gender and racial diversity…
This just gets so tiresome – it doesn’t matter what a person’s sex or skin color is – all that matters is what they believe and what they do. I wouldn’t care if the entire panel was made up of differently-abled trans-gendered persons of color…as long as they were patriots who had America’s best interests at heart. The problem is not a lack of sex and skin color differences, but the fact that the liberal members of the panel – black, while, male and female – are rigid, left wing ideologues who only care about getting Obama and the rest of the Democrats re-elected.
This liberal racism just goes too far these days…everything is based upon skin color or sexual identity. No one is allowed to broaden their mind and look at things from a different point of view. We’re to have the “black view” or the “woman view” or the whatever view…no way that I, as a white man, can look with sympathy upon a black man, no way that he can do the same for me.
Utter rot – complete racist nonsense. Way past time to end this sort of garbage. America no longer has any place for people to play racial politics…and that is another thing we’re going to have to fight to end through the 2012 campaign.
Democrats Refuse to Admit Defeat…
…or go within a country mile of sanity. They’re at it again, now working on a recall effort against Governor Walker. From Hot Air:
You’ve got to chase your dreams. Ahab had Moby Dick, Javert had Valjean, and these tools have a guy whose collective bargaining bill is a fiscal success even according to Milwaukee’s favorite newspaper.
Can we get them to flush a bunch of money down the toilet next year that might otherwise go towards reelecting Barack Obama in a crucial swing state? Yes, we can.
“‘If we can do all of this against entrenched Republicans on their own turf, imagine our success … when all of Wisconsin can have its voice heard on Gov. Walker’s extreme, divisive agenda,’ Wisconsin state party chairman Mike Tate wrote in a memo to reporters Wednesday…'”
W. C. Fields once said that if at first you don’t succeed; try, try again. And then quit. No sense being a damn fool about it. Our Democrats seem determined on being the fool.
They just spent $30 million to win two State legislative seats, one of which was held by a man who got himself mired in a sex scandal. What’s next? $60 million to try and bounce Walker from the governorship? Goodness, even if they did it, if the GOP controls the legislature then a Democrat governor still wouldn’t be able to undo Walker’s reforms. Furthermore, as Walker’s reforms are starting to take hold, all of the news is good (late breaking good news for Walker probably saved one or two of the GOP seats on Tuesday) – for Wisconsin’s budget, for Wisconsin’s taxpayers, for Wisconsin’s schools…for all aspects of Wisconsin life, except for corrupt union bosses and their bought Democrat politicians. By the time the Democrats could get a recall off the ground against Walker (I understand that under Wisconsin law they couldn’t try until some time in 2012) things might be going so well that Walker is politically bullet proof.
I do appreciate the appeal to the voters aspect of this – something all too often absent from the left. But the purpose of recall is not just to undo every election you don’t like, but to remove from office those politicians who prove egregiously corrupt or entirely out of tune with what they ran on. Democrats are just throwing a temper tantrum here…
But, by all means, have at it…each cent spent on a quixotic attack against Walker is one cent less Barry and the Boys will have to stave off disaster in 2012.

Al Gore blows a gasket:
This is the left – furious that we’re not buying their lies any longer.
Keep calm, have fun – we’ve got them cornered and will crush them.

Liberal Fascism at Law School
From Legal Insurrection:
Lawrence Connell is a tenured law professor at Widener Law School in Delaware. I have noted in prior posts that Connell was accused of a wide range of racist and sexist conduct directed at students in his classes and at Dean Linda Ammons (because of hypothetical examples Connell used in class).
Connell has sued, and also went through a university disciplinary hearing process. The faculty committee which heard the evidence found that Connell did not violate any university policy with regard to the allegations of racist and sexist conduct…
…In a rational world, the university would seek no or minimal sanctions against Connell since he was completely vindicated of the underlying charges… But Dean Ammons recommended that the university suspend Connell for a year without pay, which the university accepted.
But Dean Ammons recommendation, accepted by the university, went much further, demanding that Connell submit to a psychiatric evaluation, undergo ”anger management” counseling…and issue an apology…
In the old Soviet Union, this is what would happen to you – if you persisted in dissidence from the reigning orthodoxy, you could find yourself under psychiatric examination. After all, if it has been carefully explained to you that you are in the wrong – and any man accused of racism and sexism is clearly in the wrong, regardless of the facts of the case – then it is time to knuckle under, accept re-education and become an emasculated cog in the liberal machine. That Connell hasn’t done this proves he’s crazy…and, so.
This point out the larger problem we have in our legal profession: those steeped in the liberal worldview don’t know what law is. Without a rigid application of the law equally, all we have is the worst tyranny – that horrid arbitrariness which leaves the citizen in the dark about what he may or may not do. That, in turn, breeds a political passivity conducive to dictatorship (which is, when you think about it, the goal of liberalism…even if not a conscious goal among most liberals). Right now, at that law school, no one knows what is permissible – even if it is clearly laid out in statute, one has to worry that some school bureaucrat will essentially issue an “OSO decree” and send you off to Siberia for a term.
The good news is that we’re likely to see a bursting of the law school bubble pretty soon. They’ve been churning out so many “lawyers” that the law field is glutted. This is why you see ever more ads from lawyers willing to sue anyone for anything. We could have a nice, little collapse which will result in a lot of law schools closing, or at least being reduced in size…and fewer kids willing to enter that market. That, in turn, may allow someone who knows law to actually have a say in how a law school is run. Anything is possible…and certainly this liberal fascism on campus can’t go on forever.
Nader: There Will be an Obama Primary Challenger
From The Daily Caller:
Ralph Nader, the consumer advocate and perennial third-party presidential candidate, announced last month that he would work to find a Democrat to challenge President Barack Obama in 2012.
Nader now says that a primary challenge is a near certainty.
“What [Obama] did this week is just going to energize that effort,” Nader promised in an interview with The Daily Caller. “I would guess that the chances of there being a challenge to Obama in the primary are almost 100 percent.”
The only question, he said, is the stature of that opponent and whether it will be either “an ex-senator or an ex-governor” or “an intellectual leader or an environmental leader.”…
While one must never forget the way Nader helped fasten upon the American people the greedy and corrupt tribe of trial lawyers, you do have to hand it to him on his convictions: he’s a pinko right down to the ground, and Obama hasn’t been commie enough for him. Which, once again, does make you wonder just how ultra-leftist Obama would have to be to please people like Nader. At all events, it appears that anger over Obama’s failures on the left side are starting to bite.
While there was some lip service on the left about Afghanistan being a “good” war, the reality is that the left dislikes any use of American power…so, the fact that we’re still in Iraq and Afghanistan and have also launched a war in Libya has to be causing problems. In addition to this, Obama has kept in place almost all of the Bush anti-terrorism policies…this is simple common sense on the part of Obama, but our leftists talked themselves in to really believing that Gitmo was a horror and that the Patriot Act was undermining American liberty. To keep the American Gulag open has to be a shock to the left…and a source of anger the longer it stays open (here’s a clue for you liberals…it will remain open at least until after election day…Obama simply will not risk releasing one of the terrorists there for fear that someone will be killed by the former inmate…in your liberal mind those men might be innocents cruelly arrested and tortured by Chimpy McSmirk BusHitler, but the realty is that they are killers who want to kill again). Add in things like the failure to terminate the Bush tax cuts, failure to raise taxes on “the rich” some more, failure to get a single-payer health plan and it all adds up to a grand disappointment to the left.
And so a possible primary challenger…if Nader can dredge one up. Given Nader’s statement, he’s likely to find someone…but unless he finds someone with real stature, it will just be a joke candidacy, easily crushed by the Democrat machine. Nader will have to find someone who is both willing to ship out with the craziest denizens of the liberal nuthouse while also being someone with a credible political record. This will not be easy to do. But always fun to watch…stay tuned.
John Kerry, Liberal Fascist
From Pajamas Media:
Sen. John Kerry (D-Hanoi) must be really worried about how badly the Democrats are losing the argument on government spending. He took to MSNBC to goad the media into censoring the opinions and statements of people with whom he disagrees (and who happen to have the facts on their side). The irony of his having made such an argument on an openly ideological network seems to have been lost on Sen. Kerry.
SEN. JOHN KERRY: “And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.”…
Translation – if you MSMers know what’s good for you, you’ll stop allowing any dissenting voices to appear. We can’t have those hicks and bitter clingers out there getting their views across. Don’t you realize that we Democrats could be crushed next year if the truth keeps coming out?
Its not like Kerry has been a tribune of truth, you know? He is the guy, after all, who did say our brave men and women in Vietnam were acting like Genghis Khan…so, slanders have fallen easily from his lips. And, at any event, shouldn’t it be up to the people to listen to all voices and decide for themselves who is right?
Not to our liberals, it would seem…because if the people hear differing opinions, then they are sure to reject the liberal view.
