Manchin is going soft on whether or not he’ll vote to end the filibuster – but, we all knew he would do that. He’s an egregious liar and political hack. There’s still a chance that Sinema would vote to keep it. The bottom line is that ending it right now would be pretty disastrous for us – it would mean statehood for DC and Puerto Rico and Court packing, just for starters. Side note on that: Democrats are convinced that Puerto Rico would be a lock for them and, on balance, it is likely to at least start out as Democrat-friendly territory…but I’ll bet we’ve got at least even money at taking one of the Senate seats if it comes to that. DC, of course, would be two Democrat Senators forever. The kicker, though, is that PR would get at least four House seats..and they ain’t coming out of the Red States.

But it doesn’t mean the end of the world. It would make it harder for us to win – but not impossible and if we do, we’re no longer hamstrung by the filibuster and will be able to do lots of things which we couldn’t before. The key to victory will lie in doing ever more to get non-traditional GOP voters on board. Especially Latino voters – who are primed, I think, to go steadily 45% for us. This is especially true given that the Democrat party is enthralled to upper class, white liberals who simply have nothing to say to anyone who works for a living. Most Latinos, being relative newcomers to the USA, haven’t got out of the habit of working…like the guy who came here today, on a Sunday, to take floor measurements. How many crackers are willing to do that? How hard do you think it’ll be for us to get him to vote our way?

But, for now, let’s hope we don’t get to that point – much better if we can keep the Democrats tied up until next year when it will become increasingly difficult for them to get Red and Purple Democrats to walk the plank. And then if we can win the House and/or the Senate in 2022, the Democrats have no way to move their legislative agenda forward.

Our Matt notes that Rush Limbaugh’s death certificate lists him as the greatest radio host of all time – which has the benefit of being absolutely true.

Cuomo is up to five credible accusers of sexual harassment. Doesn’t matter. He’s a Democrat. “Me Too” was only a tool to hammer Republicans with. That it managed to get Al Franken was just bizarre – and something Democrats remain angry about it. Rely on it – Cuomo will be overwhelmingly re-elected next year, because for the most part the people of New York aren’t even hearing about this, nor about the nursing home deaths. They’re still being told that Cuomo is great. The hits on him are to keep him out of the 2024 election – Democrats are expecting Joe to be dead or incapable of running by then, and they want the field cleared for Kamala. I’d love to be wrong about this – that Cuomo would be forced out and a measure of justice done. But I won’t hold my breath.

Democrats have found more Enemies for us to destroy: Pepe Le Pew and Speedy Gonzalez.

Yes, this is ridiculous. But the purpose here is to, step by step, erase the past. The weakness in Orwell’s 1984 was that Winston Smith had memories of times before the Party. What the Left wants is no memories. Every book, song, statue, painting, building or whatnot which can indicate a different mode of living will be destroyed – and a hundred years from now, only Party approved things will exist.

We’re starting to get some pictures from Mars Perseverance and they care cool. I do have one question: don’t those tracks kinda look like they’re made in wet ground?

The GOP is slow rolling some of Biden’s nominees. Managed to collect the scalp of one of them. Biden is being forced back on minimum wage, amnesty for illegals and election reform. In other words: going as you’d expect when the President is a senile, 78 year old and the Democrats only have 50 Senators and a razor-thin majority in the House.

I did check out Trump’s CPAC speech – still not sure if he’ll try again in 2024, but the bottom line is that at least for the moment, if he runs, he’s got it. Lots can change between now and, say, June of 2023, but it is Trump’s for the asking. We’ll see if he asks. If he doesn’t get in, I’m warming to Ron DeSantis as a lot of people are, though I’m still completely open on whom I’ll actually back.

Lockdowns are being ended in Texas and that’s good – hopefully this will spread, but I’m still thinking the Democrat governors want to keep them going. In fact, I think the overall Democrat desire is to keep them going right through 2024. They seem to have calculated it out that the fear-mongering about Covid benefits them. And, maybe it does? It may well have added a couple million real votes to their total in 2020. There is a big split and a huge number of Americans are simply scared to death of the virus – I can only assume these are the people who still both consume and believe the MSM. Keep in mind that as the States reopen, there will be an economic boost and that will at least temporarily boost Biden.

I hope to goodness we don’t get into a major war these next four years: the military is going entirely SJW. I’ve heard they are even screening social media posts of recruits to see if there is any wrongthink out there. How the heck they plan on staffing the armed forces when they are excluding patriots, I have no idea. I highly recommend against any young people joining the military – and that is a sad thing for a veteran to say. But I don’t think they’ll allow you to be a soldier, sailor, airman or Marine these days. You have to check off the Intersectionality boxes, instead. Not worth the trouble – or the risk that you’ll be sent into battle and your CO got his or her job based on a SJW quota rather than battle worthiness.

Cancel Culture has come for Doctor Seuss and I find it enormously funny. Thy guy was a Commie’s Commie – but he wasn’t woke enough for modern times. Anyone want to tell the SJWs that Che killed homosexuals?

I’m still writing! A lot. Second draft of Shadow Army is now complete and I plan on dropping it in June, with the sequel to that, Kings and Queen, coming maybe in November or December. And I just finished the first draft of Book 6, which had a title but the Mrs hates the title so I’ve probably got to think up a new one.

Did you know that Amazon got a $600 million contract from the CIA in 2013? Looks like they got another juicy one in 2020, as well. There’s nothing wrong with getting government contracts, of course – but when a monster company like Amazon is getting them, it makes you wonder just what happened to get that contract? Who talked to whom? We’ve got this multi-trillion dollar government spending money like mad and contracts like $600 million to Amazon barely create a ripple. This is the first I heard of it. It just illustrates, in my view, that we’ve created a monster and nobody really knows what it is doing.

Mexicans, being sensible and civilized people, are going with coal power. I’d prefer we all went with nuclear power, of course – but what we’re finding out is that we can’t rely on solar and wind.

Democrats are moving to censor all non-Left speech. I guess they figure if they don’t, they’re doomed. This is probably true. There are many moves being made in the Battleground States to fix the election vulnerabilities as was done in Florida. My view remains that they went all out to steal it for Biden, knowing that it would be obvious but calculating (correctly) that no one would really try to stop them. This doesn’t mean, however, that the GOP wants to lose forever. Just a few minor changes in election law will make it vastly more difficult to cheat. So, losing that option, Democrats are going to try to suppress our speech so that no one can campaign outside the Party Line.

The Democrats are in full court press against Governor DeSantis – because Governor DeSantis is doing Covid correctly and thus would be a strong candidate in 2024.

The Muppet Show has been labelled offensive content.

Trump will speak at CPAC – note that it is in Florida. Likely because Covid but I doubt it’ll get back to DC any time soon. Let’s face it: DC is enemy territory. He’s refusing to tip his hand on whether he’ll run in 2024 and that is entirely unsurprising. I suspect he won’t run, but it’ll be foolish of him to tip his hand before the 2024 mid-terms.

The Democrats sent over their farce impeachment to the Senate this evening. What really astonishes me is the mental back flips that the anti-Trump people are doing in order to justify this. One guy – he’s actually a bit famous – tried to bring up ancient English law which allowed for the impeachment of former office holders. I pointed out that ancient English law also allowed for bills of attainder – something we don’t do, because we didn’t merely copy England when we wrote our Constitution. One of the key aspects of our Constitution is that is pretty much precludes (as long as it is obeyed) political vengeance. The Founders knew this was important because one of the main factors in the downfall of both the Athenian Democracy and the Roman Republic was the pursuit of quasi-legal revenge. In our system, the defeated are supposed to go home in safety and the victors are supposed to let them go.

Of course, mercilessness is one of the main marks of our political opponents – both traditional left and Never Trump “right”. Lacking any conception of God – and those who make the most pious statements are usually the ones you find the most alienated from any sense of mercy – these people want to punish us. Not just for winning in 2016, but for so much as trying to win. This post-facto impeachment is a means of punishing not Trump, but you and I.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are rapidly discovering that holding 50 Senate seats and 221 House seats is…well…it isn’t much. Especially when your leader is 78 and a bit gaga. Senators Sinema (D-AZ) and Manchin (D-WV) have both come out strong against messing with the filibuster. I don’t put too much stock in them: they are Democrats, after all. They may merely want a price for it. But, in practical terms, busting the filibuster does nothing for either of them – especially for Manchin, set to become Energy Committee chair. Once the filibuster is broken, the Democrats need pay no attention to semi-moderate people like Manchin and Sinema. They’d feel they could peel off a couple GOPers at need (likely true, given Mitt and Murkowski). As long as the filibuster is in place, the Democrats must come hat in hand to Manchin and Sinema on every major issue – meaning they can pretty much get everything they want for their own States. Of course, this leaves out the fact that if Nancy loses 4 House Democrats, there won’t even be anything to send to the Senate to bust the filibuster over. A wise person I know on line pointed out that the filibuster might be moot if Nancy is continually stuck at 210 votes and can’t get the rest because either the Squad or the few remaining moderates won’t budge. A vigorous President could easily get around this by simply hitting the road and arguing for important and popular proposals…but other than their plan to raise the minimum wage (perennially popular even if economically dumb), they got nothing. “Call your Congressperson and demand she vote amnesty for illegals!” is not a great look. But in addition to advocating for very unpopular things, the Democrats have Joe Biden…who often seems to be unaware of where he is or what he’s supposed to do.

I’ve been calling it the 1/20 Miracle – the way cities and States are suddenly opening back up. Nothing changed. In fact, some of the places opening back up have higher cases and deaths than before. I mean, nothing changed other than who was in the White House. It was an op: a very bad flu blown out of proportion to harm Trump. The op is over, and so it is being wound down.

Budweiser, Coca-Cola and Pepsi aren’t doing Super Bowl ads this year. That has got to be devastating to the NFL. Get woke, go broke. The only football I’ve watched so far this year was part of a game on Thanksgiving (had some family over who felt they had to watch) and a bit of the end of yesterday’s Packers game where I was comforting a Cheesehead friend. I suppose I might go back to watching – but the bottom line is that the thrill is largely gone. I really didn’t miss it this year. I spent my Sunday football time writing on my books. It will never again be a “thing” where I rigorously follow and I’ve cut the emotional ties to the team I used to root for. Maybe some day some team out there will capture my imagination and I’ll become a fan again…but, I figure that is unlikely. And I assume there are likely millions like me…because Coke, Pepsi and Bud aren’t spending millions advertising. Meanwhile, Hockey went only mildly woke and it seems to have pretty much dropped it…so, I’ve got my Knights and I’ll watch them win the Cup this year.

Over at Ace – what if the Deplorables start deplatforming the Left? Sure, they can kick us off their Twitter and Facebook…but Joe Average in Dayton can kick them off heater repairs while Fred Normal in Richmond can skip towing your car with the “Coexist” bumper sticker.

Speaking of cancel culture, Miley Cyrus has got herself into SJW hot water. I’d say what it was about, but I’m going to make you click the link. You really won’t believe it.

In the past 24 hours I’ve seen two Georgia polls – one showed both GOPers comfortably in the lead, the other shows both Democrats comfortably in the lead.

Once again, polling is useless. I guess we’ll see how it comes out – my view is that the GOP is favored to win both seats, but we’ll see what the Margin of Fraud is.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania’s vote numbers just don’t add up. But, you already knew that.

Report is that Homer’s The Odyssey has been removed from a Massachusetts school curriculum. There is, of course, no way to say that Homer’s work is racist or anything like that – it was written by Greeks about Greeks. But, they are calling all Western literature racist, sexist, what have you. The reason for this is that they don’t want people to know their own history and heritage. The stuff they produce is unreadable garbage, for the most part, and it can’t stand comparison. So, eliminate it and all the kids will get is SJW drivel. This has to be stopped – but it will take a Revolutionary movement to do so.

Revolution means that those who are in charge of things today are entirely removed from power.

And, of course, I wrote the Mirrors series of books and am now writing the Shadow Army series simply because I couldn’t stand what I was finding in bookstores these days. I’m not saying I compare to any of the great writers, past or present: but my stories are about sane people trying to do the right thing in difficult circumstances. You know: something worth reading instead of plowing through some SJW tome about what it’s like to grow up a differently-abled gender-fluid xir of color. If there has ever been any art, literature or music you’ve ever felt moved to create – do it. We take back the culture ultimately by producing our own.

Trump wins the Stimulus debate: because by demanding $2,000.00, the message he sends out is that he’s fighting for us. It doesn’t matter, in the end, if we get it or not: Trump stood up for the people. This works to his advantage whether he runs in 2024 or not.

Dictionary dot com is going full Orwellian Newspeak – telling everyone what words they can and cannot use, and also changing the definition of words (they recently changed “court packing” from, you know, packing the court to “not approving a Democrat nominee for the Court”). Once again, Revolution is needed to fix this.

They had to hate to report this: Gallup says that Trump is the most admired man in America, edging out Obama.

They cancelled Aunt Jemima. Why? Who the F knows or really cares? Because the picture is of a black woman and that’s racist, or some drivel. From what I’ve been able to learn, the original subject of the picture was a lady born into slavery who actually made a pretty good life for herself…but, she’s out. And Uncle Ben is on the chopping block, as is Mrs Butterworth. I guess black people can’t appear in advertisements…because Black Lives Matter or some such.

Meanwhile, the cop who killed that guy in Atlanta is being charged with capital murder: which is utterly ridiculous. Even if the use of force wasn’t justified, he still didn’t intend to murder someone. Why should a cop do his duty at this point? I can understand why a police officer would quit – and a lot have; but I can also see why they’d just become time-servers until they can collect a pension. Just look the other way and clean up the bodies. And there’s no way any sane person would want to become a police officer at this point.

Senator Durbin (D-IL) insults Senator Scott (R-SC): but there won’t be riots about this even though its a white guy using racially-charged terms against a black guy…because only some black lives really matter.

Trump shows once again why we love him: he’s saying that Kaepernick should get another shot in the NFL. This is grand-master level trolling. Gonna miss the guy when he’s out of office. Some team is going to have to take him – he was a flash in the pan who had serious accuracy problems, and he’s been out of the game for years…but some NFL team is going to have to offer him an iron-clad, golden contract. In the end, Kaep will suffer an “injury” during practice…because there’s no way he is going to subject himself to a choke-athon in front of a national audience. As for me: I won’t even watch a game this year: the NFL has decided that being woke to please a few jerks is more important than me. Cool. I’ve got other things to do on Sunday.

NBC and Google got caught doing what we already knew they were doing: working together to censor dissident voices. I am completely done with protecting large corporations: in fact, I want them severely punished…driven out of existence, actually. Tax and regulate these bastards into bankruptcy and then let something else emerge…something which will be wary of engaging in politics.

The SCOTUS decision on transgender rights was…a little surprising, but only a little. Gorsuch merely joins a long line of people whom we pour out blood and sweat to get on to the SC only to betray us at the first opportunity. Gorsuch is another one of the libertarian Judges that we became familiar with in Justice Kennedy. So while we might get a favorable religious liberty ruling out of him from time to time, on the really crucial issues of the times, he’s going to side with the far left because libertarians always side with the far left when push comes to shove…because they are far leftists who merely want low taxes. We can’t rely on the Courts – we’re going to have to do this legislatively and simply assert that Congress’ ability to regulate how cases come before the federal courts means we can simply exclude cases about certain issues. That and simply insist that Justices we appoint commit to voting how we want.

Don Surber notes that we no longer have a debate in the United States – it is all about the raw exercise of power. Either we have it, or they do – and if we do have it, we’d better just ram through what we want because we can rely on the Left doing that if they have power. I agree with this: I don’t debate liberals any more. If they decide to comment on my social media posts, I block them. There is no point. They won’t convince me (because I’m not stupid) and I can’t convince them (because they are stupid). All I want to know is how do we obtain power and then how do we quite ruthlessly use whatever power we have. Anything else is a waste of time.
