Regarding High Crimes and Misdemeanors

If this doesn’t fit the bill, nothing does..

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, a former chairman of the House Judiciary Committee where Attorney General Eric Holder testified on Thursday, suggested that impeachment of administration officials involved with Operation Fast and Furious may be the only way to bring the scandal to a close.

In a heated exchange between Sensenbrenner and Holder during Thursday’s Judiciary Committee hearing, Sensenbrenner said impeachment is one option on the table if Holder and the Justice Department continue to withhold information from congressional investigators.

Sensenbrenner didn’t specify which administration officials he thinks could face impeachment proceedings, or if Holder is among them. But he did say the drastic measure would be a last resort.

“There is really no responsibility within the Justice Department,” Sensenbrenner said. “The thing is, if we don’t get to the bottom of this — and that requires your assistance on that — there is only alternative that Congress has and it is called impeachment.”

Folks– This IS an IMPEACHABLE offense– and that’s not hyperbole. The Obama justice department, via Fast & Furious, has become complicit with and a party to out-and-out MURDER, with hundreds of innocent people, including one brave U.S. border control agent, dead as a result of this program–all designed to make it easier for the Obama administration to impinge on 2nd amendment rights. This is nothing less than unconscionable; a criminal act worthy of the rank of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Holder must resign. Obama must resign or be impeached.

You’ve Got to Be Kidding!!!!!

The shooting that took place in Fort Hood over two years ago was the worst mass murder ever to take place on an American military base.  Thirteen people died and 29 were wounded by an Islamic radical shouting “Allah Akbar” as he fired.    The shooter, Nidal Hasan, was an Army Major serving as a psychiatrist.  He is also a Muslim.  He was inspired by radical Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, an al Qaeda leader in Yemen.  In fact, Hasan and Awlaki exchanged as many 20 emails, and this radical Islamic goon declared Hasan to be “a hero.”  Now Awlaki is worm food … he was killed by a U.S. drone strike.  But what about Major Nidal Hasan?

What happened at Ft. Hood was a terrorist attack.  A terrorist attack on an American military base that killed 13 people.  It was an attack carried on by a Muslim shouting praise to Allah as he shot 13 people dead.  It was an attack that was carried on under the tutelage of a radical Islamic cleric who was later targeted in our war on Islamic terror.

But what of the obAMATEUR administration?  You do remember, don’t you, that when obAMATEUR took office he told us that acts of terrorism would be referred to as “Man-caused disasters,” and that our war on terror would henceforth be referred to as our “overseas contingency operation.”  So …. What about Hasan’s attack at Ft. Hood?  Gang obAMATEUR has now informed us that this was not a terrorist attack, it was simply “WORKPLACE VIOLENCE”.

Again …. The obAMATEUR administration’s Department of Defense has, according to Sen. Susan Collins, classified the worst shooting on a military base by a Muslim in co-hoots with al Qaeda to be nothing more than WORKPLACE VIOLENCE.

Forget the word “terrorism.”  Forget the phrase Islamic terrorist.  We are talking about the Obama administration here!  This is the same administration that …

Rep. Allen West sums it up in a Tweet, “America has no Commander in Chief.”

Gotta love Allen West for accurately depicting the situation.

Imagine if some distraught individual went to an army base clinging to his bible and chanting scripture as he/she killed 13 people, then we’d have big sis Janet, saying she was justified in putting Christians on terrorist watch lists.

Unbelievable!

Obama 2012 Stickers. Really?

Despite my nearly hour-long commute to work and then again back home, cars with “Obama 2012” sticker are extremely rare… even in my part of the blue state of New York. They are rare, but they do exist. And each time I see one, I am tempted to follow the car, wait for them to park somewhere, and ask them, “Really? You are so motivated to not only vote for this moron, but to put a fresh bumper sticker on your car, despite his record?”

I can almost excuse the people who have stickers from 2008, they are just too lazy to put a new one on their car, and that is merely an extension of them being too lazy to think about who they are voting for. But, how people in the past few months or the past year, can look at Obama’s record, and not only say “Hell yeah, I want four more years of this!” but also want to show the whole world their ignorance. Really, I just don’t get it.

Of course there are people who will vote for Obama. They’re liberals who find it easier to blame everyone but Obama for his policy failures. I get that. But really, Obama’s popularity has become worse than Carter’s and it’s actually quite rare to find someone who genuinely believes Obama has done a good job. Why promote incompetence with an Obama 2012 sticker on your car. In 2008 you could just say you were fooled by his empty promises. This year, there is no excuse.

Newt Says He’d Ask John Bolton to Be Secretary of State

The Washington Times reports,

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich promised conservatives on Tuesday he would ask former U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton to be his secretary of state if he’s elected president next year, according to several of those who met with him.

Hours later he repeated that vow publicly to the Republican Jewish Coalition, winning a round of applause.

“If he accepts it, I will ask John Bolton to be secretary of state,” said the former House speaker, who national polls show has vaulted to the top of the Republican presidential field and leads in three of the first four states that will vote for the next Republican nominee.

During the closed-door meeting in Arlington, Mr. Gingrich spoke and fielded questions for about two hours from 70 conservatives, and many said afterward that they came away impressed.

So what do you think? Also, have you seen Newt’s new ad?

More Stand #WithNewt

Fellow blogger John Hawkins at Right Wing News endorsed Newt Gingrich today.

I won’t sit here and tell you that he has no flaws or that he hasn’t gone off the reservation a few times. But, I will also tell you that other than Ronald Reagan himself, Newt Gingrich has actually helped push through more conservative legislation than anybody else in the last 30 years. This is the man behind the Contract with America, welfare reform, and a balanced budget in D.C. He has a lifetime ACU rating of 90. This isn’t a man who governed as a centrist and is now telling us how conservative he’ll be this time around. This isn’t a man who simply said “No” to everything that came down the pike because it wasn’t “conservative enough” for him. This is a man who actually moved the ball forward for conservatives on Capitol Hill. When was the last time we got off defense and actually started moving D.C. to the right? Oh, yes, it was when Newt was the Speaker. So, people can criticize his performance as Speaker all they want, but no Republican in D.C. since Newt left has even come close to filling his shoes. Even the best people we have in D.C. right now are doing nothing more than holding the line. There’s a lot to be said for that, but we’ve got to do more than that if we’re ever going to turn the country around.

Every election, it seems, is dubbed the most important in our lifetime, and frankly, this one is no different. There’s been a lot of damage done to our country by Obama, and we need a true leader with experience reducing government to undo the damage and get this country back on track. Of all the candidates we have, the one I trust the most to get the job done is Newt.

Newt Unites Tea Party, Attracts Independents

The Weekly Standard links to a new Rasmussen poll that shows Newt not only uniting the Tea Party, but also independent voters.

Moreover, Gingrich is winning not only among Republicans but also among those independents who are likely to vote in a Republican primary — in both cases by a margin of about 2 to 1. Among Republicans, he’s winning by a tally of 40 to 18 percent (over Romney). Among those independents who are likely to vote in a Republican primary, he’s winning by a tally of 30 to 17 percent (over Ron Paul).

Are you ready to stand with Newt?

Newt’s Conservative Record

Sometimes I wonder if conservative are just setting themselves up for disappointment by seeking the “perfect” candidate… which usually means that they choose one candidate early on, ignore that’s candidates flaws, and call every other candidate a RINO who “can’t win.” Even Newt Gingrich has been called “not conservative enough” and it doesn’t get more ridiculous than that. Conservative  author and pundit Richard A. Viguerie, explains Newt’s rise in the polls and links that to Newt’s conservative record of accomplishment.

Gingrich, on the other hand, is well known to many conservative leaders who recognize that, despite his self-acknowledged errors and flaws, he is the one candidate who has a real record of implementing conservative government.

Balancing the budget, welfare reform and a host of other conservative initiatives that Gingrich championed as Speaker are not mere campaign rhetoric — they actually happened.

What’s more, Gingrich looks to the conservative movement for advice, and does not avoid answering the hard questions (or put his finger to the wind looking for guidance from a focus group). He starts from the premise that a government acting from conservative principles would do, or not do, certain things and make certain value judgments about how to solve problems.

Read the whole thing.

Don’t forget that a recent poll shows Newt beating Obama.
