Hey, Conservatives: Stop Believing MSM Lies, Ok?

Some people on the right, foolishly accepting MSM framing, are horrified by a proposed anti-abortion law in South Carolina. The MSM is framing it as a ban on so much as talking about abortion – but I read the bill and while it does ban someone from, say, maintaining a website which instructs you on how to perform an abortion, I don’t see anything in there that I object to. After all, abortion is to be illegal, right? And as an illegal act, shouldn’t it be illegal to tell someone how to do the illegal act? I’m a pretty strong 1A guy here but if there was a website telling people how to set IED’s for the police, I think I’d have an objection to it being allowed to continue.

Of course, I’m no lawyer – so maybe there are aspects of this I’m missing. If so, then those in the know should be telling us their objections on that level…not just accepting MSM framing and running with it. I mean, for crying out loud, we all know the MSM lies all the time about everything. And on the abortion issue they are currently working overtime to spread fear among urban and suburban white women on the subject of abortion. If you click the linked article, you’ll see a series of links within it with frightening headlines about women losing their right to privacy – so, you know, the whole point here is fear-mongering. The MSM wants the reader to be afraid that those inbred, hill-ape, Christo-fascist morons are trying to impose theocracy. The bill doesn’t do that. What is does do, aside from making abortion illegal and defining an abortion, is make it illegal to prosecute the mother for obtaining an abortion, illegal to coerce a woman into an abortion, illegal to transport a minor across State lines to obtain an abortion, makes abortion legal to save the life of the mother and codifies the legality of contraception.

Not exactly Theocracy stuff.

But people on our side ran with it. Why? Can’t look into souls, of course, but I suspect that many are actually pro-choice but don’t want to come out and say it lest they lose Conservative audience share. Also, of course, quite a few of these people have liberal friends and they want to be sure such friends know they’re not like “those people”. You know – not like you and me.

And this is just one of many examples – couple days ago I saw that Hugh Hewitt was saying we had to codify same sex marriage and legalized birth control on the Federal level to prove we’re not going to ban SSM and birth control. So, we’re to play into DNC fear-mongering because…why? To stop something that isn’t happening? Or does Hugh and those like him just want something to separate from “those people”? Look, you inbred hicks, you got your abortion ban in some States, now you’d better sign on to a federal law imposing SSM even though the Constitution gives no warrant to the Federal government on the issue.

No. No, no, no and f*** no. Please, stop it: stop ratifying liberalism. We’re Conservatives, dammit. No, we don’t have a particular interest in banning SSM but this doesn’t mean we’re suddenly ok with it, nor that we’ve come around to approving the idea of the judicial activism which created it. SSM was (we hope) the last fling of leftwing judicial activism. Don’t put our stamp of approval on it.

And in the name of all that is decent in the world, stop believing the MSM. At all. Best if you simply stop consuming it – even if this costs you a gig or two. No amount of money is worth being associated with liars. But if you feel you must consume and participate, then at least have the common sense to know they’re lying and go to the original source to see what is happening before you comment. Yes, this might upset your liberal friends and some people might think you’re an inbred redneck…but that’s ok: the people who hate you for being actually Conservative are stupid and not worth caring about.

The Rich, Not the Left, are the Enemy

And it is real. They are paying people to stop farming. You know: growing food. As has been pointed out: you are the carbon they want reduced.

You see this and then you take Sri Lanka in mind, see all the fast food corps trying to market “beyond beef” products, endless articles about how we can eat bugs instead of meat…deliberately pushing up gas and oil costs while pushing electric vehicles while mega corps buy up residential property to rent it out. Sorry, but I see a plan: reduce human population and have what remains jammed into mega-cities where common folks eat bug paste in their life pods while getting around by bicycle or electric train. Did some group of rich people sketch this out? Not sure: but the various rich people NGO’s are all singing from the same Green hymnal and it all comes out to regular people having less, with the subtext being there will be fewer regular people.

Leave aside whether this is or isn’t a global conspiracy and you’re still left with the fact of what they are doing: in the name of “saving the planet” they are proposing we completely restructure our society to be Green – and no matter how you slice it, Green gives you less food and energy. With seven billion people on Earth, the wheels of agriculture, manufacturing and transport must turn rapidly in order for everyone to get their daily bread. If you interfere with that, there simply won’t be enough to go around. And rely on it, if there are shortages, the rich people telling us to go Green aren’t suffering them. Went to the store today to get yellow peppers and they didn’t have any. Hardly any red peppers, either. This isn’t odd food – this is staple stuff for the modern American diet. Bin after bin where the peppers normally are sit empty. But I guarantee you that if Gates wants some yellow peppers with his dinner tonight, he’s got them or will have them within the hour.

So, in my view, it isn’t the Left that we really have a problem with. They’re just kooks who don’t know anything – the problem comes in when the rich adopt Leftist views and seek to implement them. As to just why billionaires want to impose the ideals of ignorant Marxists, I don’t know for certain. It is probably a variety of reasons: but the underlying issue is that the Masters of the Universe want to remain Masters…and they are more than happy to change title and Party Line as long as they stay rich and in charge. Chesterton pointed this out more than a century ago when he noted that the British Ruling Class would have no problem changing over from being Duke of Norfolk to being Administrator of Norfolk. Because at the end of all plans of the rich, they remain fabulously rich, immune to law and firmly in control. What matters to you if the mass of people are crammed into stinking, crime ridden cities? You’ve just flown out to your private island after another Geneva confab and you’re getting ready for you and your buddies to abuse some young men and girls.

We have to cease worrying about absurdities like AOC or the latest Tik Tok Progressive weirdo who is grooming kids to be trans – these are problems and they’ll have to be dealt with, but the way to deal with them is to get rid of the rich people. Get rid of those who fund, promote and protect the Marxist fruitcakes. The Marxist numbskulls would be powerless and ignored except for very rich people funneling them money so they can attack not the rich, but you and me with our suburban homes, cars and our weekend trip to the beach (and the Rich hates that – hates that right next to their zillion dollar beachfront home are regular folks just being there). And do keep that in mind: for all the Left’s “eat the rich” rhetoric, their practical policy demands are for you and me to have less…less money, less property, less freedom. And who want us to have less? Those who have the most – their wealth is sacred, ours is Destroying the Planet. The footsoldiers of the Left are just too stupid to see how they are being manipulated…but that is no surprise because you have to be monumentally stupid to be a Leftist to begin with. But they are still not the enemy – the most aggressive BLM/Antifa rioter is not your enemy. He’s an idiot. He’s a tool. And he’s sent out against you by people who have fabulous fortunes, almost all inherited or recently acquired via political connections.

Unless and until we make this mental shift and realize that the rich are our enemies, we’re really not going to get anywhere. Any victory will be temporary in nature. Defeated in one field, they’ll just use their money to open up another one…and it doesn’t take them much money. Just a few million dollars can fund all sorts of people and programs to attack us. And what is even a billion dollars to someone with tens of billions? It is chump change – and for chump change, they will destroy you. Unless you take all their money away.

I’m not talking about taxing and redistributing – I’m talking about straight up confiscation. The Ruling Class does it to us all the time via asset forfeiture. Turn about is fair play – their money is forfeit one fine day. We just take it, leaving them with nothing – and then we pass it out to our people in some set increment so that the net wealth of our side increases.

Or, you can adhere to some tired theory which holds that private property includes fortunes of hundreds of billions which are being used to undermine the very basis of normal, human life. Up to you. Pick what you want. I prefer we get rid of those who propose to desrtoy us.

They Want You to Lie

You might have seen the exchange between Senator Hawley and Professor Khiara Bridges. Bridges is absolutely insane. Stupid, too. Someone who knows absolutely nothing but whatever Marxist drivel was shoved into her…and then she was advanced in the legal career because as a POC who could regurgitate the Party Line on command, she was just what Diversity demanded. But there is a very sinister aspect to her – and I’ll be generous and say she, herself, might not understand it. Mindless mouthpieces like the Professor are such because they are mindless, after all. But consciously or not, what she is demanding is that we all become liars.

In the exchange, what the Professor insists upon is that saying only women can get pregnant is transphobic and is violence against transgender people. Think about that – she’s saying that if you state a biological fact (“women get pregnant”) then you are killing people. It is an absurd thing to say. It is insane. But, it is crucial to the Left’s agenda – because sane, tolerant people don’t like to get into confrontations. We like peace and quiet. And, so, faced with someone like Bridges, we start to trim our sails…maybe not all at once going along with it, but carefully editing our own words to cause the least offense possible. But, folks, we’re trying to cause the least offense to people who are insane liars. I don’t think this effort has an upside to it.

The crucial thing for the Left – all the time and on every issue – is to get people to lie. To get them to concede, even if only partially, that the Left’s lie is true. Think about it – when the Floyd issue exploded the Left’s Party Line was that racist cops were hunting down unarmed black men just for the racist heck of it. Not wishing to cause offense, people on the right hemmed and hawed about it – instead of just calling such claim what it is (an insane lie), there was an attempt to not be confrontational. You know how it went, “sure, there are racist cops and there is much racism in America and all of us are saddened by the unjustified death of George Floyd, but…”. And everything after “but” was pointless…because the lie had been agreed to. Maybe not exactly in Leftist terms, but enough of it to make any policy response to the Floyd death in line with Leftist ideology. Had we true courage on our side, we would have said the truth: Floyd died because he was a stupid, high as a kite and passing funny money. Had he not be stupid, high or breaking the law, he’d still be alive. That a cop was involved in his death was pure happenstance – Floyd was going to an early grave, cops or no cops. The example in my mind while this unfolded was my late elder brother: died because of a stupid drug-addict fight at the age of 50…because he was stupid and got high and then got into a fight and so he passed out on asphalt in the summer sun and his brain cooked to death. It could very well have been an interaction with a cop that killed him…but, it was another drug addicted bum who did him in. And it didn’t matter – my brother is dead because he was stupid and high; the particular circumstances of his death are irrelevant.

And I know that seems harsh and perhaps it is – but it isn’t like my brother didn’t have any agency. He had a thousand chances to alter course. He was given aid by family and friends over a many year span of time…all he had to do to live a nice life was stop being stupid and getting high. Lots of people have successfully navigated this and gone on to happy, productive lives. It isn’t a miracle: it is an act. A choice. A decision. Some people never make it and pay the price for their folly. George Floyd and my brother: same/same.

But the Left doesn’t care about that. Didn’t and doesn’t care that Floyd is dead, either. Floyd was just what was necessary for the lie: a black man who died in custody of a white cop. Once that fact was established, all the Left did was tell as story based on the Left’s lie – that racist cops hunt down black people. And it worked – by and large, almost the entire Western Establishment went along with it. But do keep in mind that the Floyd case wasn’t just to advance a false Narrative of racist cops…it was to make it impossible for cops to police our cities and thus allow for an explosion of crime which the Left will then use to advance their biggest goal: the breakdown of American society as “proof” that a free market system governed by people who believe in God doesn’t work. Crime, in the Left’s view, is the result of an unjust system…and by getting the cops out of the equation, they can now proceed to the social destruction which, in their minds, will force people to turn to the Left for a solution.

And it isn’t just one lie – it is a lie about everything. Racist cops, men can get pregnant, illegals are mere migrants, etc, etc, etc…are all designed with the same purpose, to get us to go along with the lies and so make us defenseless as society falls apart…after all, if we’re liars, how do we call out the Left and demand they stop? Can’t: not if you’re a liar, too. But the Left is making it so that just to live in society, you have to lie.

Put the breaks on it – concede nothing. Whatever the Left is saying is a lie. It can’t be other because the Left’s ideology is based on lies. Push back against the lies – this will take some courage and some of us who do so will suffer social and economic pain. But it must be done. The Leftist Emperor has no clothes and if we can merely say that, the Left will lose.

There still persists in GOP/Conservatives circles a lack of understanding of the situation. You know what I mean: those on our side who still think there is a path to compromise and that the Left wants what we want, just by different means. But, and I’m very pleased by this, the numbers of such are decreasing, and I think rapidly.

You may have heard the horrid story of the 10 year old Ohio girl who sought an abortion in Indiana – initially, most of us had our doubts as to the veracity of the story because (a) it was too perfect a fit to the Democrat Narrative and (b) it would have been legal in Ohio to obtain an abortion under those circumstances. Now that the perpetrator of the rape has been arrested, the Left went, for a moment, “told you so”, but then just about everyone on the Right – even the wets – pointed out that the rapist is an illegal immigrant (I’ve also heard rumors that the mother of the ten year old was trying to protect the rapist by getting the abortion in a different State: that isn’t confirmed, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least). Because of the pushback, the Left is dropping it – the last thing they need is national attention on the story of an illegal immigrant raping a ten year old.

Side note: the rapist, who is 27, was listed as a minor on the documents regarding the abortion. This is more confirmation in my mind that the trip to Indiana was a cover up, very likely by people who know both the rapist and the girl. This is what abortion is, by the way: the nauseating effort to allow very lousy men to do disgusting things.

Another example of this is the latest AOC fracas – she was rudely accosted by a man outside the Capitol who made crude remarks about her appearance. A few wets popped up with the “while I disagree with AOC, we must not tolerate this sort of behavior blah, blah, blah”, but most were completely disdainful of AOC’s alleged wounded honor. This is the person, we recall, who figures that harassing Supreme Court Justices at home is A-OK. To be sure, I’d never do a thing like that to any woman – and 99% of us on the Right never would. But to pretend that someone like AOC has an honor which can be offended is just absurd – she’s a stupid, corrupt, wicked woman who is out to destroy the United States because she figures she can get rich off the process (and she’s already obtained a tidy sum). She learned that if you play the Progressive song and dance you can get into office and steal to your heart’s content…because only very rarely is the law enforced against the Left. She’s a garbage person – and you can’t insult garbage. She does not get to clothe herself in the residual honor of past members of Congress while spitting on America and her people.

Flying mostly under the radar, a great deal of the election fraud of 2020 has been exposed and, where the GOP can, it is being remedied. This is why I don’t go with the doomsayers – I think that we’ve now got in enough States and localities the means whereby the Democrats can’t cheat sufficient to alter the result. They’ll still cheat like mad where they are totally dominate (Los Angeles looks to be heading back into Covid lockdown…likely in anticipation of November: and, yes, they are worried about the deep Blue areas – it is at least 50/50 that Dina Titus (D-NV) loses her re-election bid in what is at least a D+8 district), but they can’t cheat in enough areas to win the whole thing. The Never Trump people have been very stout in condemning Trump’s efforts to expose this – but that is simply because Never Trump knows very well the Democrats cheated to get Biden in: they just liked the result.

This song becomes more meaningful to me every year as I get older…but only today did I realize it came out 35 years ago! I know, I know – some of you heathens don’t like Rush. But that is a serious moral failing on your part, not mine:

The knives are being sharpened – more and more MSM stories pondering if Pudding Brain is too old. He was, of course, too old in 2020. Heck, in 2008 when Barry picked him, he was too old. For goodness sake, he was only picked because Team Obama knew nobody would ever move against Obama to make Biden President. But, really, he’s got to go: he’s delaying his Middle East trip – seriously – because he has to rest up after his European trip. Meanwhile, Trump is barnstorming around the country giving speeches.

We either made a serious mistake in 2020 or are the victims of the biggest rip off in human history (Spoiler: it was a rip off).

On the other hand, if the Democrats hadn’t cheated in 2020 they’d be heading for a solid mid-term victory in 2022 and a likely strong Trifecta in 2024. As it is, at best Joe is polling around 40% and the Democrats might be heading for generational wipe out. And not only that – they’re going to be defeated by a GOP which is vastly more MAGA than it was in 2020 and which is already firmly engaging in the Culture War.

This could get real painful for them. I’ll shed a tear when I find the time.

But it has to get painful for them – and every more painful. Here’s the story of a elderly man who was beaten to death by feral savages let loose by Democrat policy in New York City. And, remember, the Democrats did this on purpose. Don’t let them off the hook. It isn’t a mistake. It isn’t an unintended consequence: they want this level of crime of violence to punish us for being American. Because we’re racists and sexists and we’re too rich and we are too powerful and blah, blah, blah whatever the heck it is the Left is whining about. But, do note that the victim here is a black man.

In case you were wondering what a real insurrection looks like, here’s Sri Lanka where they’ve chased the government out of power and burned the Prime Minister’s house. It all started because Sri Lanka’s Ruling Class wanted to curry favor with the Global Ruling Class, so they essentially destroyed Sri Lanka’s economy in the name of living Green. Turns out people with out food get rather angry.

So, how are the store shelves in your area?

Paranoid conspiracy interlude: I’ve seen the stories of food processing facilities going up in smoke in the past few months. Wonder: is someone in the Ruling Class trying to create shortages which will lead to revolt which they think they can crush once and for all? Do not put this sort of thing past them: remember, the dying Czarist Ruling Class got Russia into both the Russo-Japanese War and World War One on the theory that chaos and destruction would also them to continue to rule.

If you’ve never seen the movie Zulu, you should do so. Here’s a write up explaining why. I like it because it is a soldier’s story and while war is hideous, we must never take away the glory of those who stand up to it and do their duty. There’s a scene in the movie just before the first Zulu attack where a young and obviously very frightened soldier asks “why us?” To which the old sergeant replies – as old sergeants have probably replied for thousands of years – “because we’re here and there isn’t anybody else”. Because we’re here – it is why we do our duty in any field.

Not your father’s GOP:

Over the top? No, it isn’t.

Jerone Davison is running in Arizona’s newly-redistricted 4th District and it is rated “Likely” to “Lean” Democrat, which is probably correct and so if he gets the GOP nomination, he’s got an uphill climb. But that hill isn’t nearly as steep as it would have been in any other year – Pudding Brain’s approval rating in Arizona is somewhat lower than pond scum.

That is a fun, attention-getting (though very true) ad, but I liked this one a lot better:

He gets it. Yes, we GOPers are Conservative and free market adherents…but when tech giants are this powerful and so closely aligned with the Democrat party we can’t allow free market theory to override our need to get our message out in the primary field of debate: social media. I don’t know much about this man but what little I’ve learned is good. I’m sure the Democrats, if he gets the nod, will find some dirt on him or make some up if necessary…don’t care. He looks like a fighter and I hope he wins.

The other video for you to watch today is linked here: in it, you’ll see three fat, well-off young women trash a fast food joint in NYC. Why? Because they charge $1.75 for extra sauce. This is not sustainable – civilized people will not put up with this forever. Nothing will be done and nothing will be done and nothing will be done – until something is done and that something will be exceptionally violent.

Looks like PM Boris Johnson might be tossed out of office because one of his people named – and I’m not kidding – Pincher has gone around groping men. The British Empire ended not with a bang, but a whimper…and British Scandals degenerated from Profumo to Pincher. Can’t say I’m sad about it if Boris goes – he was clever enough to realize he could ride Brexit into Number 10 and he has kept his word on that, but in all other things he’s what Thatcher called a “wet”…going along to get along with Labour and no real changes in British policy. They are, after all, still arresting you in the UK for misgendering someone. Hopefully someone will ride to Britain’s rescue, but I’m doubtful about it…they’re just arguing over who gets the money as that country slowly dies.

The pro abortion movements seems…kinda meh, doesn’t it? There were a few days of shrieking purple haired feminists saying they wouldn’t have sex with Republicans (thank you!), but now its rather faded away. Didn’t seem to cause much of a blip in polling, either. My bet always has been that abortion is not popular – that even most of those who don’t want to ban it find it distasteful to a high degree. Abortion is something propped up by the Ruling Class…which wants the people to be childless tenants dependent upon government subsidies to pay for imported goods. They don’t want, that is, Americans – they want us to become Europeans, with our population slowly being replaced by immigrants whom the Ruling Class believes are easily controlled (Spoiler: they’re wrong about that as Latino voters are shifting heavy to the GOP). I think that after all is said and done, outside the deepest blue areas, abortion will be restricted in this or that manner and people will cease to care much about it.

They’re supposedly working on a pill which will eliminate certain aging cells in your body, thus allowing you to stay healthy and live longer. A lot longer: like to 200 years old. First pass on this: it won’t work. I can imagine it helping, to be sure – but more than doubling human life is probably a pipe dream. According to the article, we’ll find out – the pill is supposed to be ready in about 10 years. Would I take it? Not to live to 200: don’t want to. But to keep my mind and organs from deteriorating? That would be highly tempting – because outside of death, itself, what frightens us? The fear of being alive but incapacitated. And that, I think, is where any such treatment will fail…it might help, say, keep your liver healthier longer (and that’s a good thing) but ageing is still going on…coded into you is still the decay and it very likely accelerates over time so you’d have to take ever more of the drug for ever shrinking benefit and lord only knows what side effects.

America the Uniquely Free

Just at the moment we don’t, perhaps, feel as patriotic as we might like. We probably feel that things have gone very wrong and we wonder about the long term survival of our Republic.

It is, after all, simply true that many Americans – and probably most of our current Ruling Class – despise the men in this picture. They also despise what they accomplished – in both making a nation and then, to the everlasting fury of our Ruling Class, setting up a system where the law restrains the government, not the people. And that is why as down as we might feel at the moment, we can’t give in to such feelings.

Never in human history has a government been established which held that the government can only do certain, enumerated things. This past couple weeks, for the first time in nearly a century, the Supreme Court of our land made rulings in accordance with this American dogma – that which isn’t granted to the government, is reserved to the people. The nutshell of the four main rulings is that the nobody stuttered 1775 to 1787. The Founders were men of many backgrounds and divergent – in some cases, hostile – interests. What bound them all together, what made success in War and Peace possible, was their unified conviction that the individual is the measure of things. It was, in a very real sense, a secular version of Our Lord’s command that the Sabbath was made for Man, not the other way around. And, so, the Government is made for Man.

Everywhere around the world today, you find that even is allegedly free nations, everyone still waits for permission. When they vote, all they’re doing is decide who will decide for them – and not just on major issues: the mania for regulation in America is very bad these days, but even our bloated bureaucracy hasn’t reached the suffocating levels of bureaucracy seen in all advanced societies in the world. And there is also this difference, in foreign lands the people grumble but they submit. In America, the Spirit of ’76 still exists. Perhaps a bit attenuated, but it is still there – there still remains the concept, and the desire, that government will do as the people command, not the other way around.

The overturn of Roe is the strongest symbol of this continuing spirit. It took 49 years. it took the electing of four different GOP Presidents. The appointment of 10 Supreme Court Justices. Innumerable legal and legislative battles at the local, State and federal levels before it was achieved. And while the primary motivator was life, itself, we must not discount that the reason the movement started and maintained itself in growing confidence and strength was because in Roe the violation was not just of the laws of God, but of the reason for the United States’ existence. And this was crucial, because while religious believers were the mainstay of the movement, it could not have succeeded absent the crucial leavening of non-religious people who yet saw that Roe was an outrage. And the outrage was some judges telling us what to do. They had no warrant for such action! That was the key: whether or not abortion should be legal is a matter for a free people to debate and decide…not to have it handed down from on high, with only a few lawyers getting a say.

The spirit is also vibrant in the 2A movement which scored a signal victory, as well as the anti-regulation people and, of course, those who care most about free exercise of religion. All did very well, though in these last three, the victory is not yet complete (Roe’s overturn ends the abortion matter, by and large, at the federal level – the Pro-Life movement will now have to work State by State to continue to advance their cause). The main thing here is that people are still pressing the issue – demanding that even now, in 2022 when the State has become a monster out of control that it obey the rules. That the laws mean what they say and even the government must obey. And they’ll keep pressing – in 2A, the forces of reaction in New York went to work immediately, essentially making almost all of New York a gun-free zone. This will be challenged, and the tyrants will be defeated – and just like the Left screwing up by taking Alabama to court, so the Left may have really screwed up in New York…because you can almost see the Justices ruling that “shall not be infringed” really means what it says. We’ll see how that goes, but I feel confident in the long term.

And this kind of freedom – the freedom which demands not just a vote on who is in charge, but control over what is done – is a very American freedom. It, in fact, only exists in the United States. I’ve seen plenty of foreign comments where they seem to sincerely not understand why we even fight over things like abortion and guns. To them, their government decided that guns don’t belong in civil hands and that abortion is a good thing…and that’s the end of it. They can’t conceptualize telling their government “no, you can’t do that”. At most they can only see their way to voting for someone who will tell them what to do more efficiently than the other guys.

We must keep this – we must win the battle with our own who hate our country. And as we do this, we must also expand it around the world. I’m not talking about nation-building…I’m talking about disabling access to America for nations which don’t have a Bill of Rights like we do…and a real Bill of Rights; some definite “Congress shall make no law” and “shall not be infringed” stuff in there. We are, as Reagan said, a shining city on a hill. Even in our current, pathetic state, people still flood in. Sure, some for base motives, but most because the story has spread around the world…in the USA is real freedom and you can make it. It has been, perhaps, the true impulse for humanity all along: a desire to live without permission. To simply do what we want when we want to do it. To make our own way, to pay our own price.

And we must keep it because if we lose, it will never come back. Never again will any government set up a system which limits government. This is a once-in-history experiment. Our unique concept of liberty is the best – in fact, it is the only liberty to be found in the world. Fight for it. Keep it. Pass it on. The people of 1776 look down upon us, right now, and wonder if we have the heart and stomach for it?

I was actually going to include a bit about the J6 “bombshell” but I think we’re hashing that out pretty well in the previous post. So, I’ll just state this:

The January 6th hearings are an attempt by Democrats and Never Trump to make Trump toxic for 2024. Make no mistake about it – they are terrified of his running again and they know they can’t beat him: the methods they used to cheat in 2020 will not be available especially in the Battleground States in 2024 because of various legal changes over the past 18 months. They might try to bring back the Pandemic to justify mailing out millions of ballots…but they won’t have nearly the success they had in 2020. Laws have been changed, people are watching…and the man who gained 12 million votes between 2016 and 2020 is almost certain to gain even more between 2020 and 2024.

Here’s how 2024 is already going:

In 2008 the Democrats enjoyed a 1.2 million voter registration advantage over Republicans in Pennsylvania – as of 2022, that advantage has shrunk to about 540k….and it continues to shrink, rapidly. Since 2020, a net of about 1 million people have switched to the GOP from the Democrat party. This isn’t new voters – this is people taking the time to actually change their party registration from one to the other (the net is because some people have switched from GOP to Dem…but overall the stampede is to the GOP from the Democrats). It turns out that a Party keyed to the deepest concerns of urban/suburban upper class, college educated white women lacks broad appeal.

Polls: you may have already seen some of them. Ignore them – they’re doing absurd things now to come up with poll results which fit the Democrat Narrative, especially over the abortion issue. The only poll that matters is the prices of gas and food. Absent a miracle, Democrats are going to lose Congress and a large number of State government seats as well…the only question is whether this win will be on the magnitude of 2010, or something we’ve just never seen before in American politics. Looking at some polling and taking into consideration their MOE and how Democrat-heavy their samples are, a credible case can be made that Biden’s approval has slipped into the 20’s.

The Democrat response? They’ve introduced a Transgender Bill of Rights.

The return of Stagflation. This probably won’t help Democrats in the Fall.

Rather says it all in one picture.

And it was posted today on Twitter and it is the perfect response to the Leftist shrieks since Friday.

For goodness sake, just a little bit of common sense and some self control and your chances of having an unwanted pregnancy drop to near zero. And yet 63 million abortions have been performed in the United States…which shows that in our modern society responsibility is rejected. A pro-choice Righty I know on Twitter posted an article from a British newspaper about a woman with a 50 year old Down’s Syndrome child who states she wishes she had aborted: the comment on it was, “why don’t you pro-lifers think about this?”. As if we don’t. As if we hadn’t already worked that into the calculation. We are none of us promised an easy trip from the cradle to the grave – life, at times, can be very painful. And at the end of it, you die. Even those of us with strong faith don’t like that thing coming down the pike – because for all our faith, we don’t know. We’re not allowed certainty. But in doubt or in faith, we’re going to die. It is a bit of suffering we all must endure – so why do people think they can opt out of suffering? It is part of life. It is how you deal with it that reveals what sort of person you are. My parents could have institutionalized my autistic brother – that was the recommendation of the medical professionals. But, they couldn’t – as flawed as my parents were, they just couldn’t see consigning their child to a faceless, uncaring institution just so life would be a little easier for them at home. This is what humans are supposed to do – to reach out in pity and mercy when things are bad…not run and hide.

And, so, the picture – the smug, wealthy Westerner who holds all the right positions and is always in favor of The Current Thing…demanding not a moment of suffering. Zero sacrifice…all the while literally sitting on the backs of a horde of suffering people who provide the comforts the Westerner believes are a birthright. It really is sickening.

There’s another part of it, too: the people, allegedly on the Right, most of them, warning us that now we’ve won, we’re doomed! Doomed, they say! We’ve awakened the Sleeping Giant! Now instead of a Red Wave in November it will turn Blue as a surge of people rush to the polls to affirm their support for abortion, which is wildly popular and only opposed by a few inbred, hick morons. Never saw such amazing stupidity.

First of all, it is the gas prices, stupid. Yesterday, the lady in front of me at the grocery checkout put back several items after she was rung up because it ended up being more than she could afford. She wasn’t buying steak and lobster – her cart was nothing but common staples. And she had to make a hard and fast choice of which common items she would do without for a week. That is the reality – that is the working and middle classes being crushed and that is what will be on the mind in November.

But, absent that, was anyone paying attention? Over a 50 year period the Pro-Life movement worked for this moment – with massive social and political opposition from the most powerful people and institutions in America. And with their own supposedly pro-life leaders in politics stabbing them in the back every time they could (we still haven’t defunded Planned Parenthood, after all). They triumphed over it all because, at the end of the day, they were the more powerful political coalition. Make no mistake about it, if America really was a majority Pro-Choice nation, Roe would never go down…because there wouldn’t have been the GOP votes to put into the Supreme Court the necessary Justices to do so. Meanwhile, what of the Pro-Choice movement? Didn’t they fight? No, they didn’t – they coasted, coddled by a Ruling Class and MSM which never challenged them…so the point where most Americans still don’t know that the abortion laws of France and Sweden are vastly more restrictive than Roe…in fact, more restrictive than the Alabama law which was the instrument of Roe’s downfall.

Now the fight shifts to the States and Democrats are going to be asked if there are any legitimate restrictions on abortion – and they’ll have to dodge, because instead of fighting for 50 years like the Pro-Life movement, they coasted on Roe and their ability to say they were just defending “a woman’s right to choose”. Now they’re going to have to defend slaughtering a child in the birth canal…and they (and the world) will find out that while there probably isn’t a majority in favor of a nationwide ban on abortion, there is even a small number willing to fight for abortion on demand to the moment of birth.

We’re going to win, my friends. We were always going to win. It was never going to be easy. It might take even another century before we have a Culture of Life codified into American law – but we’re going to win. We’ll have setbacks and will suffer a lot on the way, but we’re used to that and are ok with it. We’re just going to keep rolling along, standing firm on the ideal that a human life is precious, regardless of condition.

The End of Roe

Seriously: God be praised, I never thought I’d live to see this.

We will get some extra insanity now that Roe is gone, but I do believe that, long-term, ending Roe will lance the abscess – the poison in American politics, which stems from defending the indefensible: Roe.

There is no honest way to defend Roe, after all. You can’t tell the truth and be in favor of it – and you can’t find a merciful or just reason for defending abortion to birth. But Democrats went on an defended it, and poisoned American politics, possibly fatally. There is no way to say that abortion is covered under the US Constitution. It just isn’t in there, not even by implication. It is an elective medical procedure; its like saying breast implants are a Constitutional right, leaving aside any moral question.

For the past 50 years, Democrats have mounted a desperate, rear-guard defense of Roe which has caused them to become egregious liars as well as becoming cruel and stupid. I don’t know what made them die on the Roe hill, but it wrecked American politics. There is no honest way to defend Roe, after all. But Democrats went on and defended it, and poisoned American politics, possibly fatally.

But, maybe not. Now that it is over and reasonable people can work at the State level for the abortion laws they think best, just perhaps Democrats will feel unbound to lies and so able to speak truth…and to cease being cruel, because they no longer have to defend barbarism.
